Pavel Pepperstein Prague
Louis Vuitton Travel Book is a series of albums
with illustrations by artists from around the world.
Pavel Pepperstein designed an album dedicated to Prague.
Presenting a variety of artistic techniques such as painting, collage, illustration, comics, the albums offer the reader a fresh look at selected places in the world. In completely new and original works by famous artists and young talents, cities and countries come to life and appear before the reader as if in reality. In this album, Russian artist Pavel Pepperstein infuses the colorful symbols of Prague with poetic romanticism.
I was instantly struck by the ancient beauty
and mysticism of this incredible place.
The artist first visited the capital of the Czech Republic (then still Czechoslovakia) at the age of fourteen, along with his parents, also artists — father, conceptualist Viktor Pivovarov and mother, children’s writer and # nbsp; book illustrator Irina Pivovarova. Later, from 1985 to 1987, Pepperstein studied here at the Prague Academy of Arts, and because he has special impressions associated with this city
and experiences.

Each book in the Travel Book Prague series is personally signed by the artist.
For "Pavel Pepperstein Prague" the artist created about 70 watercolor drawings
and collages. He showed the "mystical side" of the Czech capital — gothic spiers and sculptures by David Czerny meet geometric objects and memories of the artist himself. The JART Gallery exhibits the originals of the series of works presented in the book.
