Ilya Trushevsky's art action "Burning Drawings"
On the 7th of March 2019, at 19:30, JART Gallery presented Ilya Trushevsky's art action "Burning Drawings".
Trushevsky burned not just old drawings, there were also his 2010-2011 sketches, 2011 art-engineering projects, and his 2011-2015 drawings of burned forms.
Through the burning process the image itself was turned into an object. The drawings became sculptures, which were then etched onto metal by the artist. Ultimately, all the works were transformed into one metal plate depicting an image of elegant meaningful form.
Thus, the artist concluded a long and important period of his work, and opened up a new path in his art.

The whole event was accompanied by the experimental music of Dmitry Anikin (project @resequence), who recorded the sounds of burning, smouldering, etching onto metal, electrolysis and even the rustle of ash, creating music out of them and thus an atmosphere in which the guests could immerse themselves in the very essence of the action.
The exhibition of works by Ilya Trushevsky will be on show in JART Gallery until the 22nd of March. You will be able to see everything that inspired him for many years and the subsequent result.
