About the author
Irina Korina's installations swallow the viewers, who find themselves inside the space invented by the artist. Using household materials that are familiar to us, Korina, on the one hand, creates new worlds, ephemeral and unpredictable and on the other hand, plunges the viewer into everyday life. Korina deliberately confronts the everyday and illusion, expectations and reality. Installations and objects become a kind of portals to other dimensions, links to specific places, events and even feelings. The external carnival character of Korina's works makes them funny and naive, but this form is only a path to acceptance, behind which there is a whole range of experiences and contexts.
